The Projects Aim

A resource for parents considering representing themselves in theUK Family Courts.

AFFORDABLE ASSISTANCE IN COURT FOR £130 A DAY

Family Court Help aims to provide affordable, high quality and accountable assistance for parents facing the daunting task of representing themselves in disputes over the arrangements for children following relationship breakdown.

By providing Case Workers who will assist you in court, we mean to offset the withdrawal of legal aid for such proceedings. Some Case Workers will be legally trained, others will have extensive experience of Family Courts. We are NOT a firm of solicitors or barristers. The term that has become accepted in the courts for such a provision is a McKenzie Friend, although we are lobbying for a totally new idea, socially motivated support workers in Family Proceedings.

The experts are the Lawyers. If you can afford one you should seek an appropriate professional. Sadly, many parents cannot and thats where we come in.

Childrens proceedings are upsetting enough without the stress of trying to organise and present your own case. We will guide you through the court process and attempt to set realistic targets to resolve your problems.
